Computational and Database

Computational and Database

We are offering FAIR data management and standardized bioinformatics solutions. Depending on the need of the users we provide a suite of services to receive, understand, and use the data generated by Exposome-Scan. A customized set of services will be crafted individually for every user.

The following services can be provided:

  • Consultation with sample owners on how to provide (meta)data to Exposome-Scan;
  • Consultation on the FAIR reporting of data generated by Exposome-Scan;
  • (Putative) characterization and identification of metabolic features by comparing with a reference chemical library and computational tools;
  • Statistical support for complex network of exposure‐related interactions of compounds measured, and their effect measured with metabolomics (and other omics);
  • Full service: taking control over the complete process from delivering samples and meta-data to the interpretation of study results.

Exposome-Scan

The unique and large-scale open facility Exposome-Scan gives researchers from all over the Netherlands the opportunity to study the exposome. Anyone who submits a good research request will have access to the research facility and will be able to conduct research at Exposome-Scan at cost price. The facility in Leiden opens on 15 February 2024 and builds on the knowledge gained in the Exposome-NL and X-omics research programmes.
